CarYou
A car maintenance app for keeping cars, their specs, service history and parts in one place, in light and dark mode.
Overview
CarYou keeps everything about a person’s cars in one place: the garage, each car’s specifications, technical inspection, service history and spending, and the parts that were fitted, searchable by manufacturer code. It comes in a light and a dark theme.
My role
UX Designer. I designed the app’s structure and screens in both themes.
Design approach
- Specs at a glance. A car’s details (make, model, country, plate, doors, gears, year, engine, fuel policy, transmission, mileage) appear as chips with icons rather than a long form.
- Money made visible. Service spending is a chart by day, week, month or year, with each system’s cost listed underneath and a one-tap PDF report.
- Parts by code. Search finds parts by manufacturer code and keeps recent searches and recently opened parts.
- Quick entry. Adding a service records the date, price, part codes and photos on one screen.
- Two themes, one layout. Light and dark modes share the same structure.
Key responsibilities
- Information architecture of garage, car, service and parts
- Data-heavy screens: specifications, spending and part details
- Search and entry flows
- Light and dark themes
