TV Azteca
TV Azteca's streaming app on phone, tablet, TV and web, one home layout adapted to four screens.
Overview
TV Azteca en vivo is a Spanish-language streaming app with live channels, movies, series, music, podcasts, courses, shorts, audiobooks and radio, built on the MwareTV platform. These four screens show the same home on a TV, the web, a tablet and a phone.
My role
UX Designer. I adapted one home structure to four screen sizes and input methods.
Design approach
- One home, four layouts. The hero and rails stay the same. Navigation becomes a side rail on TV and a scrolling row of sections on the web, tablet and phone.
- Quick actions within reach. Recordings, downloads, favourites and My List sit in a floating bar on the tablet, web and phone.
- Errors in context. A failed recording appears as a notice in the corner of the TV screen (“No recording added. The upload failed, please try again.”) without interrupting playback.
Key responsibilities
- Responsive structure across TV, web, tablet and mobile
- Top and bottom menus optimised for each platform: sections at the top, quick actions at the bottom
- Navigation patterns per device
- Notification and error messaging
